Community Guidelines

SupportGroups.online exists to create safe, healing-centered spaces for everyone. These guidelines apply to all users, facilitators, and hosts.

Core Principles

  • Safety first. Every participant deserves to feel emotionally safe.
  • Confidentiality. What is shared in a group stays in the group.
  • Respect. All participants are treated with dignity regardless of background, belief, or identity.
  • Non-judgment. Support, don't advise unless asked. Listen more than you speak.
  • Accountability. Take responsibility for your own words and presence.

What Is Not Permitted

  • Harassment, bullying, or intimidation of any kind
  • Discrimination based on race, gender, religion, sexuality, disability, or national origin
  • Sharing another participant's identity, story, or session content without consent
  • Recording sessions without explicit consent from all participants
  • Soliciting sales, promoting products, or recruiting outside the Platform
  • Impersonating a licensed therapist, psychiatrist, or medical professional without credentials
  • Sharing or encouraging self-harm, suicidal ideation, or dangerous behaviors
  • Inappropriate sexual content or advances
  • Any illegal activity

For Facilitators

  • Hold space with compassion and structure
  • Do not practice therapy or provide clinical diagnoses unless you are licensed and operating within your scope
  • Maintain clear group agreements with participants at the start of each session
  • Report any participant in imminent crisis to emergency services and notify the Platform
  • Respond to Platform communications within 48 hours

Crisis Situations

If you or another participant expresses intent to harm themselves or others, facilitators are expected to pause the session and connect that person with emergency services. In the US, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or 911. The Platform is not a crisis service.

Reporting Violations

Report any guideline violations to support@supportgroups.online. Include a brief description of the incident and, if applicable, a session ID or username. All reports are reviewed within 48 hours.

Enforcement

Violations may result in a warning, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the Platform at our sole discretion. Severe violations (threats, illegal conduct) will be reported to appropriate authorities.
